Hawaii Love

After a few days in San Diego we flew to Honolulu and stayed on Waikiki for the first 3 days.  I don't think we need to go to Japan as they were all at our hotel.

We were the typical tourist in our convertible Mustang and visited the very somber Pearl Harbor Memorial.

I love Hawaii and its perfect weather and beauty.

Lots of good eats at all kinds of different and cool places.  Our favorite was the shaved ice with the ice cream and sweetened condensed milk on the top.  Yum! We could of had a hot dog at our hotel for $9.50 but instead we choose the Chart House for prime rib for $47.00! ....  It was our Anniversary.

We love the sunsets and their steep beautiful mountains.

We were the first of the day at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve to snorkel.  Lots of pretty fish and not many people to share the beach.

We took a tour of the  3 highways thru the island, so pretty.

The last 3 days we stayed on the west side of Oahu at the JW Marriott Ko Olina resort and this was our view.

We got to watch an outrigger surf competition.

The surf was high and the rip tide was fierce.  By the time the life guard got down the beach to tell everyone to get out of the water the body waumpers were back in the water at the other end of the beach, tough job.

The beautiful Laie Hawaii temple.  We went on our actual anniversary and noticed that they have a ton of doors.  Afterwards we ate off a shrimp truck, then drove back to the hotel in the dark with the top of the car down.  A perfect day.

This is Hawaii love.  We will come back.  Thanks for the great life and a wonderful trip darling!
