Mexico the 3rd time

Mexico was so fun!  Judy needed to thaw after a long winter with record amounts of snow in Alaska.  She loved everything about Mexico.  It was so fun to be together.

How could you not love the beach and the warm weather.
It was fun being with Dawn and Wimp and all the pups.

The tides were at its all time high so the water was right up to the step when it was in and 2 miles out.
So we got up at 6:30 AM, I know way to early to get up on vacation, met Rod and Diane Herbert and set out to find sand dollars and anything else of interest.

Like this little octopus about 4 inches long.   He shot black ink but I wasn't fast enough to get a picture.
Found a live crab, look how strong his claws are.
A live sand dollar that we threw back in with "live long and prosper"
Our first group of sand dollars that we found.  I wanted them all.
We couldn't carry them all so we sorted through and kept 45 of the best ones.
Soaked them over night in bleach water
Lined them up to dry

Took their picture in the early morning light

It was so much fun we went again the next morning for another 45 a piece!  You might be wondering what I am going to do with 90 sand dollars, oh I have a plan.

Notice how the star in the middle is raised in the top sand dollar and imprinted on the bottom on, pretty cool huh and check out how high the water is that it is covering the sidewalk out by pelican point.
Judy is so brave.  When she saw an ultra light she was all for going on a ride.  I am sure she is Aaron's hero now.  His Mother didn't  even entertain the idea of going up in this little flying machine.
Just land anywhere.  Judy made it back safely after a 15 minute flight up the coast and back.  She wanted to go again...crazy.
We rode the rhino to the dirt mall, ate lots of Mexican food, read books, ate home made ice cream and excellent peanut butter cookies, were lizards, walked dogs, swam at the Herberts condo and enjoyed the blow up island, we had to come home.  It was a great week and we are ready again.  I know Judy LOVED it all.  Thanks Uncle Wimp and Aunt Dawn for having us!
